Stevens Amendment



STEVENS AMENDMENT

Beginning in 1989, the United States Department of health and Human Services' (HHS) annual appropriations included a provision known as the "Stevens Amendment" to ensure transparency and accountability in federal spending. The Stevens Amendment requires all HHS grant and cooperative agreement recipients to acknowledge federal funding when publicly communicating projects or programs funded through the HHS annual appropriation. 

In compliance with the Stevens Amendment:

Funding details for award totals for the program year 2023 (PY'23) are provided as follows and revised annually. Unless otherwise stipulated, all statements, news releases, requests for proposals, bid solicitations, visual presentations, and other applicable documents and programs are fully funded from federal sources.

  • The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Program is supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $330,736 with $0 (0%) state, local, and/or non-governmental funds.
  • The WIOA Dislocated Worker Program is supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $337,010with $0 (0%) state, local, and/or non-governmental funds.
  • The WIOA Youth Program is supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $324,230 with $0 (0%) state, local, and/or non-governmental funds.
