The Lowcountry Area Transportation Study (LATS) has an amendment to the Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (MPO) Unified Plan and Work Program (UPWP) which is available for public review and comment. The UPWP identifies the transportation tasks and studies to be performed by staff and local jurisdiction members and reflects federal planning requirements with local priorities. 

The document can be found on our website at www.lowcountrycog.org. It can be viewed at the Lowcountry Council of Governments, 634 Campground Road, Point South, Yemassee, SC.  Written comments can be emailed to srossi@lowcountrycog.org or sent to P.O. Box 98, Yemassee, SC 29945. Written comments will be accepted until March 31st, 2023.

The UPWP identifies the transportation tasks and studies to be performed by staff and local jurisdiction members and reflects federal planning requirements with local priorities. The document is developed every two years and includes a two-year budget. The work program begins in July of a given year and ends the following June.
