The UPWP identifies the transportation tasks and studies to be performed by staff and local jurisdiction members and reflects federal planning requirements with local priorities. The document is developed every two years and includes a two-year budget. The work program begins in July of a given year and ends the following June.

On March 31st, 2023, the Lowcountry Area Transportation Study (LATS) unanimously approved the Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (MPO) FY2024-2025 Unified Plan and Work Program (UPWP).
