Help Us Improve Internet Access in Your Community – Take the Better Internet Survey Today

The state of South Carolina has recently enacted Get Connected SC, a campaign to deliver reliable, high speed internet access to all South Carolinians.

Reliable high speed internet access impacts various parts of our daily lives. Whether that be through educational pursuits, applying for employment online, purchasing goods/services, or even fulfilling medical needs through telehealth visits with doctors.

The SC Broadband Office has partnered with Lowcountry COG to participate in activities related to the Initial Planning Phase of the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program.

To identify the areas of greatest need and understand the barriers to internet access, there is a ‘Better Internet’ survey provided to gain information about unserved, underserved, and underrepresented communities statewide. Information gathered from the surveys will shape a Five Year Broadband Plan for the state to ensure a Better Internet for a Better South Carolina.
