Lowcountry MIRR Draft Available for Review

Awarded by the Department of Defense Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation, the Lowcountry Council of Government in partnership with Beaufort County, the City of Beaufort and the Town of Port Royal is Preparing a Military Installation Resiliently Review (MIRR) for Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort and Marine Corps Recruit Depot Paris Island. The MIRR is focused on the communities surrounding the two installations. The goal is to develop strategies and an implementation plan protect resources necessary to enhance the community resilience and the resilience of the military installations. The MIRR approach consists of three main tasks including:

  • Task 1: Identify and define threats, impacts, and unmet needs
  • Task 2: Assess vulnerability and risk
  • Task 3: Refine and prioritize projects and policies
The Draft Lowcountry Military Installation Resilience Review (MIRR) is available for your review.
