Where: Town Hall, 608 1st Street, Hampton, SC 29924
You are invited to attend a community workshop hosted by the Town of Hampton and the Lowcountry Council of Governments (LCOG). The workshop allows residents of the Town of Hampton to voice what they value most about the community and the issues they would like to see addressed.
The workshop will begin with a review of the purpose of a Comprehensive Plan and the planning process and conclude with a workshop to secure local views on issues, opportunities, and potentials within the community.
What is a Comprehensive Plan?
A Comprehensive Plan is a blueprint for the Town’s future with long-range goals and objectives. It is a community vision that is intended to guide the Town’s future growth and development for the next ten years. Once the Plan is complete and adopted by the Town, it should be reviewed every five years and updated every ten years.
The Comprehensive Plan will help effectively guide the Town leaders in making substantive and thoughtful decisions for the community. The Plan will address a variety of topics including economic development, community-wide plans for land use and development, housing, transportation and infrastructure, and community facilities and services.
We look forward to seeing you at the workshop!
